The Eternity of Life

Tuesday, June 23, 2026

When we hear the phrase – ‘Life is eternal’, the reality of it doesn’t immediately dawn on us.

It sounds far, more like a metaphysical statement that is so far from our reality.

But in the real sense of it, it’s closer to us than we realize; in fact, we are currently living an eternal life.

Now this reality is true for all men, Christian and non-Christian, only that of non-Christians doesn’t look eternal because of where they are going to spend their eternity.

So all our years here, no matter how long they are, are but a fragment of thousands and thousands of years.

Looking at life from this perspective changes a lot of things.

Meaning that every decision we make right here on earth is an investment into the thousands of years we will forever be existing.

Life on earth is a prep for the bigger and longer part of life – as we say, it’s the tip of the iceberg.

Even if we lived 969 years like Methuselah, it’s still a fragment.

You can only get the true picture of this Eternal life through your Spirit.

When I look deep down into my Spirit, I see eternity – I see something deeper than my human mind can fathom.

I see a Spirit that has an endless existence, and I have so much respect for God.

Our spirit here on earth is only bound by the human body, just so it can function on earth, but it will come to its full capacity when we transition from this current world into the new one.

All my decisions and choices shouldn’t be based on this little temporal world, which is a fragment of the real one.

Of course, in the world to come – we are not just going to be singing Halleluyah, like many think.

Yes, that is a beautiful activity, but we will have activities just as in the current world.

Life is continuous; it only changes in form just once.

There comes a time, when money becomes worthless, clothes, fame, and all material things become irrelevant – in fact, they will get destroyed.

We should always remember this in everything we do.

Jesus benevolently gave us an Eternal Spirit while we live in a mortal body.

His very Spirit lives in us and He works in us but to will and to do of His good pleasure.
